HIFU

This relatively recent treatment is designed to combat facial skin laxity. It utilizes high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).

It is a very safe medical technique, supported by numerous scientific publications, approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in the USA, and recognized worldwide for its effectiveness.

This technique does not add volume to the face; it works solely by tightening sagging tissues.

HIFU employs ultrasonic energy, with impacts targeting various layers of the skin. The latest machines we use are far more powerful than previous ones, allowing us to work at different depths:

• 4.5 mm (muscles or fat, depending on the area),
• 3 mm (deep dermis),
• 1.5 mm (epidermis).

This process stimulates the skin’s fibroblasts to produce more collagen, restoring firmness, and elastic fibers, which improve skin elasticity.

The treatment progresses from the deepest layers upward to the outer layers of the epidermis, working from the inside out.

Additionally, for significant double chins or pronounced jowls, it is possible to treat the hypodermis (fat layer) at a depth of 6 mm.
