Body Surgery
Aesthetic body surgery
Body aesthetic surgery includes procedures such as liposuction, tummy tuck, and thigh and arm lifts. These procedures aim to sculpt and firm the body by removing excess fat or skin and improving body contours. They can help achieve better physical harmony and boost self-confidence. As with any surgical intervention, it is crucial to understand the potential risks and benefits and consult a qualified surgeon to determine the best approach based on individual needs.

Liposuction or liposuction surgery
Liposuction or liposuction surgery
A safe and controlled surgery, it is the leading cosmetic surgery procedure in Morocco. It allows for rapid and effective removal of excess fat in areas such as the belly, love handles, or saddlebags.
Its goal is to reshape the distribution of fat to smooth the body’s silhouette. However, liposuction is not a replacement for a diet or physical activity. It is also effective in addressing genetic predispositions (androgynous or gynoid body shapes) and provides a quick solution to long-term body concerns.
Liposuction is most commonly performed in the following cases:
- When a person has a permanent complex related to their body shape.
- To treat areas that store excess fat.
- To address fat areas that remain after following a proper diet.
- To shape a body that lacks curves (straight and without form).
The primary areas treated with liposuction include the abdomen, flanks, love handles, saddlebags, hips, thighs, knees, legs, calves, back, arms, face, jowls, and neck. Multiple areas can be treated during a single procedure.
After liposuction, the fat typically does not return. The fat that has been removed tends to be less likely to return compared to fat that was not suctioned, due to the post-operative fibrosis process.
The benefits of liposuction are long-lasting, although it is important to continue maintaining a balanced diet and engaging in regular physical activity.
How is liposuction performed?
- The procedure is carried out in a certified surgical facility.
- A mixture of saline solution with adrenaline and analgesics is injected beforehand to minimize pain and bleeding.
- Liposuction is done using canulas of varying sizes and lengths.
- It may be performed using ultrasound (smartlipo), laser, or mechanical assistance.
- The incisions are small and very discreet (1 to 2 mm).
- Liposuction can be combined with lipofilling (re-injecting the fat removed) for the breasts or buttocks.
At Renaissance Center, we perform two types of liposuction procedures:
- Liposuction for localized, limited fat areas, which can be done under local or general anesthesia.
- Liposculpture, which aims to reshape the entire silhouette to achieve natural curves.
The amount of fat removed during a single session varies. It depends on the quantity and location of the areas being treated. For liposuction in a single localized area under local anesthesia, between 500 ml to 1 liter can be removed. For full-body liposculpture under general anesthesia, up to 3 to 7 liters can be removed.
Liposuction procedure steps:
- Preoperative consultation with one of the center’s surgeons to define the patient’s goals. The fatty areas will be examined, and the possibilities and limits of liposuction will be discussed.
- The procedure typically takes 1 to 3 hours and is performed on an outpatient basis in 90% of cases.
- Results are visible immediately.
- Swelling typically resolves within 3 months.
- Normal daily activities can be resumed immediately, with only a few days of rest required.
- A compression garment or panty should be worn for 3 to 6 weeks.
Abdominal surgery or abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty (or abdominal plastic surgery) most often concerns women who have had one or more pregnancies, but also younger women with abdominal skin laxity after weight loss, women in perimenopause with swelling in the pelvic region, or sometimes women with “scarred” bellies after one or more surgical interventions.
The goal of abdominoplasty is to correct this skin distension of the belly by tightening the skin downward. If the patient also has diastasis of the abdominal muscles (separation between the muscles), it will be corrected during the procedure to refine the waist and reshape the abdominal belt for good quality.
In most cases, abdominal plastic surgery can be combined with abdominal liposuction, liposuction of the hips, flanks, or thighs — LIPOABDOMINOPLASTY.
The residual scar will be horizontal, just above the pubis, hidden under the underwear and extending laterally upwards and outwards, more or less far depending on the extent of the skin distension. Additionally, there will be a scar around the navel. Even though every precaution is taken to make them fine, their final quality is unpredictable. However, most often, they are fine and flexible.
Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and requires 2 to 4 days of hospitalization. In the postoperative period, the patient must wear a compression garment for a month, day and night.
It is minimally painful, except in the case of muscle work (repairing the diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles), but it requires a two-week work break.
Lymphatic drainage begins 5 to 7 days after the procedure and aims to reduce postoperative swelling and improve the final result.
However, the definitive result is only visible at the end of the third month.
In the case of a “pouch” abdomen, meaning with a significant skin fold, abdominal plastic surgery may be partially covered by social security, after prior agreement with the medical advisor.
Liposculpture and fat grafting (lipofilling) of the buttocks.
Brazilian Butt Lift – Liposculpture and fat grafting of the buttocks
The feminine curves of our modern society aim to be soft and voluptuous. To achieve hourglass-shaped hips and generous buttocks in perfect harmony with the rest of the body, the Brazilian Butt Lift allows for natural reshaping of your silhouette.
Indications for the Brazilian Butt Lift
The Brazilian Butt Lift offers a natural reshaping of the silhouette and perfectly integrates with the most common buttock surgery practices. It involves liposculpture of the hips and thighs, as well as fat grafting (autologous fat injection into the buttocks bilaterally).
The benefit for you is twofold: liposuction is tailored to the fatty areas that bother you, and fat grafting allows you to achieve the desired buttocks.
The Brazilian Butt Lift is indicated if:
- Your silhouette lacks definition and natural curves.
- Your buttocks are flat or have become so after weight loss.
- You want round, full buttocks.
- You wish for fuller buttocks without buttock implants.
- You want to restore balance and harmony between your buttocks, especially if they differ in morphology, or between your buttocks and the rest of your body.
Specifics of the Brazilian Butt Lift
Recent scientific studies on this fat grafting technique show that the fat retention rate is higher than in other areas of the body. Indeed, most of the time, just one session is sufficient.
It involves liposuction with treatment of the fat to isolate the fat cells that will be injected into the areas lacking fullness.
The combination of natural buttock enlargement through fat grafting and liposculpture to contour the waist and thighs provides a spectacular and long-lasting result in the majority of cases.
The risks of this surgery are limited, and there are no scars, similar to breast fat grafting.
The Brazilian Butt Lift can be combined with other buttock lifting techniques, with scars at 180° or 360° (Bodylift).
Brazilian Butt Lift: The procedure
- Pre-operative consultation with one of the center’s surgeons to confirm the indication for liposculpture and fat grafting after a thorough examination of your medical history and morphology.
- The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between 2 and 3 hours, with two surgeons operating.
- Outpatient hospitalization with discharge on the same day or the following day in most cases.
- No drainage.
- Post-operative consultation at 3 weeks, followed by consultations at 3 and 6 months.
